Scarlet Fever 🔴 - Thursday 27th March 2025
We have been informed today that a child within our school has been diagnosed with scarlet fever.
Although scarlet fever is usually a mild illness, it should be treated with antibiotics to minimise the risk of complications and reduce the spread to others.
The symptoms of scarlet fever include a sore throat, headache, fever, nausea and vomiting. This is followed by a fine red rash, which typically first appears, on the chest and stomach, rapidly spreading to other parts of the body. On more darkly-pigmented skin, the scarlet rash may be harder to spot, but it should feel like 'sandpaper'. The face can be flushed red but pale around the mouth.
If you think your child may have scarlet fever please contact your GP and let the school office know.

Wraparound Care Update ❗ (also sent by email 19 March 2025 and posted on Class Dojo on 20 March 2025)
Following Mrs Hamblin's update letter on Friday in which she made reference to Wraparound Care, it has been necessary for us to make some amendments to our current wraparound care offer due to recent staffing changes and numbers attending.
The prices will remain the same however the new timings for Sunshine Club (after school care) will be as follows:-
Monday 3:20pm - 5:00pm
Tuesday 3:20pm - 5:30pm
Wednesday 3:20pm - 5:00pm
Thursday 3:20pm - 5:30pm
Friday No Sunshine Club
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience the above changes may cause. Breakfast Club provision will remain the same and will continue to run from 8:00am. From September 2025 we will be in a position to provide full wrap around care until 5:30pm every day (Monday to Friday). The above changes will come into effect on Monday 24th March 2025 (next Monday) and these timings will remain the same throughout the summer term. Scopay will be updated this week to reflect these changes in preparation for bookings next week.

We so pleased to be able to announce that we achieved the top prize of £1,500.00 towards our 'Spend a Penny' appeal!
We are so grateful for the community support which helped to ensure we achieved the top prize!
This grant will help massively towards our toilet refurbishment due to take place over Easter.

Our provider has made a few changes to the Lunch Menus for the last two weeks of term. Please see attached amended Menu.
Please select your child's lunch choices on Scopay as per the menu attached. I am unable to make changes to the current menu detailed on Scopay, however as long as you select the correct corresponding code detailed within the attached document, your child will receive their chosen meal preference.
Please can I ask you to make any amendments to your child's choices by 6pm tomorrow (Thursday 5th December).
Lunches are unavailable on Friday 20th December. If you have previously placed an order for a school lunch on this day, please cancel this order (de-select) and your balance will be updated.
